How should the separate-toe design fit?
Each toe should sit naturally inside its own section without being forced, curled or tightly compressed. The heel should feel secure and the child should be able to walk comfortably. If the toe shape does not align well with the shoe, choose a different size or a conventional wide-toe style.
Is TrailGuard Junior suitable for wide feet?
The shoe has a wider forefoot area intended to give the toes more room than a narrow, pointed shape. Fit still depends on the child’s foot width, toe length and toe alignment, so use the measurements and check the fit carefully before extended wear.
How do I select the correct size?
Measure both feet while the child is standing and use the longer heel-to-toe measurement. Compare it with the foot-length column in the chart. When between sizes, choose the larger size only if the heel stays secure and the toes align naturally with the separate-toe sections.
Can these shoes be worn with socks?
They can be worn barefoot or with properly fitting toe socks. Standard closed-toe socks are generally not suitable because they prevent the toes from entering the separate sections correctly. Make sure any sock does not create pressure or bunching.

No. The breathable mesh is designed to allow water through and to dry more quickly after wet activities. These are water shoes, not waterproof shoes, and the child’s feet can become wet during use.
How much grip do they provide on wet or uneven ground?
The segmented rubber outsole is designed to improve contact and traction on changing surfaces. No outsole can prevent every slip, especially on wet tiles, algae-covered rocks, loose gravel or steep technical trails. Adult supervision and careful movement remain essential.
How should I clean, dry and store TrailGuard Junior?
Rinse away sand, salt, chlorine and mud with cool clean water, then clean gently by hand. Open the drawstring, separate the toe sections carefully and air-dry the shoes fully away from dryers, radiators and direct high heat. Store them dry in the included carry bag and inspect the mesh, closure and outsole regularly.
